The 10-year milestone of Gary Batton as the 47th Chief of the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma marked a historic moment of growth, leadership, and cultural impact. Since 2014, Chief Batton has led significant expansion across tribal operations, including workforce growth, healthcare access, housing development, and cultural preservation—earning statewide recognition for his leadership.
In April 2024, more than 4,000 tribal members, officials, and guests gathered at the Choctaw Event Center to celebrate this milestone. Cadence Studios was entrusted with delivering large-scale audio visual production capable of ensuring every speech, tribute, and cultural performance reached the entire audience with clarity and consistency.
The Challenge: Audio Coverage in a Large-Scale Event Venue
Events of this scale present a unique set of technical and experiential challenges:
- A 4,000-person audience in a large, acoustically complex venue
- The need for clear, consistent audio coverage across all seating areas
- A program blending formal speeches and cultural performances
- High expectations for both technical precision and cultural respect
In large venues, poor sound distribution can quickly diminish the audience experience. The goal was not just amplification—but creating an environment where every attendee felt connected to the moment.
