The Governor’s Small Business Summit brings together small business owners, aspiring entrepreneurs, and resource partners from across the Texoma region for a full day of education, networking, and actionable business insights. Held in May, at the Eisenhower Business Center in Denison, this event was one of only 15 communities selected statewide to host the prestigious summit in 2025. Featuring a keynote from Robert Likarish, Owner & Founder of Ironroot Republic Distillery, along with panel discussions on entrepreneurship, financing, and marketing, the summit connected attendees with local, state, and federal resources essential for business growth. Cadence Studios provided comprehensive AV support, ensuring every presentation, panel discussion, and networking opportunity ran seamlessly throughout the day-long program.
Business conferences always present unique technical requirements, and the Governor’s Small Business Summit was no exception. From coordinating staging that accommodated multiple panel configurations to managing projection systems for various presenters with different technical capabilities, our dedicated technician brought the expertise needed to handle whatever arose throughout the six-hour program. When you’re supporting an event selected by the Governor’s office from communities across Texas, representing your city’s ability to host professional state functions, there’s no margin for technical difficulties.
Being selected as a host city meant Denison was representing the entire region’s capability to execute state-level programming. Our role extended beyond simply providing equipment—we became partners in ensuring the day reflected well on the community, the local chamber of commerce, and the regional business ecosystem. By delivering reliable, professional technical support throughout the summit, we helped demonstrate that Texoma has the infrastructure and expertise to host significant state events, potentially opening doors for future high-profile conferences and economic development opportunities in our region.
